Aunt Hilda's Bones
Words and Music by Christopher White
The undertaker came one day,
To take Aunt Hilda's bones away.
He packed them up in his undertaker case,
And drove them away to his undertaker place.
We saw them again at funeral time.
They had been cleaned up of their grime,
And we were impressed that the funeral men,
Had arranged the bones just like a skeleton.
They must have used a paleontologist,
And maybe even a craneologist.
The undertaker even used superb chiaroscuro.
He's a good man, and thorough.
Then they closed the coffin lid up tight,
And took it away to the burial site.
The undertaker smiled as he stood in the Sun,
And we congratulated him for a job well done.
"Beautiful funeral."
