Higgins
Words and Music by Christopher White
This is a song about a man named Higgins.
He lived in a house.
Higgins was smaller than a battleship.
But bigger than a mouse.
Higgins had a family.
Some children and a wife.
Sometimes they went on outings.
And took photos of their life!
Higgins!
Higgins!
Higgins!
Higgins!
Higgins had a job.
Every day he went to work.
He drove his car to get there.
Around the office he would lurk.
He ate breakfast in the morning.
And lunch at one o'clock.
And in the evening before bedtime.
He'd take the dog out for a walk!
Higgins!
Higgins!
Higgins!
Higgins!
Sometimes he'd catch a movie.
Sometimes he'd read a book.
Sometimes he'd watch television.
And sometimes he would cook.
Higgins!
Higgins!
Higgins!
Higgins!
Higgins never acted in a movie.
And he never took a trip up to the moon.
Higgins never wrote a novel.
And he never did a voice for a cartoon.
Higgins never married Oprah Winfrey.
Nor did he pitch a perfect game.
Higgins never built a giant robot.
Nor did he guard the Vestal Flame!
Higgins!
Higgins!
Higgins!
Higgins!
